该剧以1937年“七七事变”后日本大举侵略中国、国民政府由南京迁都重庆为背景，讲述了川军英勇抗敌以及重庆人民在八年抗战中无比顽强的生存之路。剧中张丰毅出演川军将领朱豪，一个袍哥出身的草莽军人，同时又是一个逐渐苏醒的爱国青年，还与抢来的大学生媳妇上演了一段“不般配 ”恋情。。Two young men (Jon Cryer, Rick Stear) who have been friends since early childhood decide to go on a trip to find a third friend (Rafael Baez) who has long since disappeared. Stories they have heard indicate that the friend has been seen in an apparently rambling, incoherent state at Coney Island. Their trip leads them to a number of adventures involving the otherworld-like life...。
