全片由《麻雀趣事》、《有口难言》、《圆谎记》三个独立故事构成：《麻雀趣事》通过上海顾客与广东伙计对话，探讨麻将牌的历史起源；《有口难言》聚焦民国初年女牙医与助手离奇死亡案件，受害者口中发现半截舌头；《圆谎记》描写元朗乡绅马大哈在英女皇访港期间因谎言陷入困境。。1972年，一支橄榄球队乘坐乌拉圭空军571号航班飞往智利。飞机在安第斯山脉中心的冰川上遭遇灾难性坠毁，45名乘客中只有16人幸存。面对世界上最险恶的环境之一，他们被迫采取极端措施来保全性命。。SYNOPSIS Urgently called, the police inspector has arrived in a hotel, and didn't find any crime, but noticed some strangenesses occurring there. (Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。
