小助理桑夏被大明星燕楚庭各种折磨，意外进入正在拍摄的剧本里面，成为古代长郡主，需在大婚前找出藏在五位候选者中的凶手，否则将会死亡，并且陷入剧情循环。她虽有现代思维，却要应对母后的催婚与二郡主桑雅的嫉妒，还对与前男友长相一致的伴读燕楚庭充满试探与疑惑。过程中，桑夏被迫与慕寒付韵西等五位各怀心思的候选者周旋，一边化身黑莲花设法淘汰众人，一边与燕楚庭从猜忌到携手，揭穿慕寒罪行化解候选者陷害。然而，局势愈发复杂，付韵西被刘义首所杀，刘义首家族势力威胁皇权，母后竟非桑夏生母，还为亲生女儿桑雅谋权篡位。最终，桑夏与燕楚庭在帝师萧禹的助力下，平息桑雅引发的战乱，二人回到现代。SYNOPSIS Urgently called, the police inspector has arrived in a hotel, and didn't find any crime, but noticed some strangenesses occurring there. (Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems?
