Laura decides to stay and uncover the truth about her family's death, a decision which soon places her own life in jeopardy as she becomes embroiled in murder, stolen diamonds, cover- up...。故事发生在闽南一代，陈满足（方周媛饰）出生在一个贫穷的家庭之中，父亲去世之后，为了能够好好的安葬父亲，陈满足接受了好友雪梅（陆子艺饰）一家人的帮助，陈满足也就此成为了雪梅家里的帮佣。在雪梅家里，陈满足邂逅了名为赵有义（魏子涵饰）的长工，两人之间产生了真挚的感情。哪知道雪梅家道中落，家破人亡，陈满足和赵有义肩负起了抚养雪梅孩子美华的重任。随着时间的推移，美华渐渐的长大了，她爱上了阿财，成为了他的妻子。陈满足一心希望美华能够过上幸福的生活，但天不遂人愿，美华因为难缠死在了病床之上。。
