“降魔者”夏老有两个女徒儿：孙女夏冰和收养的小唯。小唯感情被骗，突发妖性错手误杀夏老，夏冰誓寻小唯报仇。都尉王生在一次战斗中救下小唯并带回江都，妻子佩蓉大方收留小唯。佩蓉怀疑小唯是妖，但无人相信。于是她找来庞勇。庞勇曾是王生的首领，与王生、佩蓉更有一段三角恋情。庞勇在调查中遇上为爷爷报仇的夏冰，夏冰认定武功高强的庞勇是降魔“能者”。庞勇、夏冰无法揭穿妖术高强的小唯，虽处上风的小唯却未能得到王生的“心”。她向佩蓉施“画皮”妖法，令众人误会佩容是妖。王生最终与庞勇、夏冰把小唯制服，小唯悄然而逝，佩蓉和王生终于相拥在一起。庞勇、夏冰结伴上路，继续降魔伏妖的浪游之路。。SYNOPSIS Urgently called, the police inspector has arrived in a hotel, and didn't find any crime, but noticed some strangenesses occurring there. (Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。
