刘晓丽考取了大学生村官，分配到丹阳村担任村主任助理。上任伊始便着手移民工作，丹阳村早就因为移民的事闹得不可开交，村里分成赞成和反对两派，农村基础关系复杂，工作很难展开。经过一系列的繁杂工作，刘晓丽坚持了下来，并自我分析，改变工作方式，以真诚打动了村民们，让移民反对者在补偿协议上签了字。渠首的丹阳村，在南水北调中线工程移民问题上，奏起了快乐的凯歌。。Jan Sienkiewicz, a writer and lecturer who was expelled from university, takes a job at a Warsaw high school.
