《启初的起初》是以江西省萍乡市的真实人物“胡启初”为原型进行艺术加工的文艺片。胡启初是萍乡市芦溪县“杜鹃花小屋“的创始人，因患有"先天性心脏病”、“类风湿心脏病”等多种疾病导致瘫痪，全身仅有一只左手能够活动。生活的磨难曾让他几度想自杀，是文学点燃了他对生存的渴望。他与现实的矛盾，与家人的矛盾，最后都归结于他与内心的矛盾。世上只有一种真正的英雄主义，那就是认清生活的真相之后还热爱生活。。At the peak of the COVID pandemic, young friends Pablo and Robin spent night and day in the Erasmus University Hospital documenting the stories behind the numbers.
